Job summary

Nearfield Instruments in the Netherlands is seeking a senior semiconductor expert to lead application and technology directions in etching, ALD, thin-film deposition, and metallization. You will translate process challenges into metrology requirements and shape new capabilities for customers.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, engaging with customers and partners, and delivering high-volume manufacturing metrology solutions that improve yield and process control.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in semiconductor process integration and metrology.
• Strong understanding of process control in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with etching, deposition, ALD, or metallization.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and translate complex challenges into product roadmap directions.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification of unmet metrology needs and critical process-control gaps in etch, deposition, ALD, and metallization.
• Define valuable measurements, specifications, and use cases including trench depth, sidewall profile, thickness uniformity, and metal integration.
• Set application priorities and translate customer and manufacturing needs into product and technology roadmaps.
• Lead engagement with customers, process engineers, and equipment partners to validate requirements and accelerate adoption.
• Drive development of metrology solutions that improve process control, yield, chamber matching, and manufacturing performance.
• Guide R&D and product teams on measurement performance, workflow integration, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
