Job summary

Capgemini Utrecht is seeking a Senior Mendix Consultant to help clients translate business challenges into scalable Mendix solutions. You will design, develop and optimize applications, collaborating with architecture, integration, cloud, AI, security, and data specialists.

You lead multidisciplinary teams, advise on low-code governance, and drive value with AI-enabled processes while maintaining a strong focus on client outcomes and Dutch-language delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Mendix development experience.
• IT-related degree or equivalent experience in software engineering.
• Broad Mendix proficiency: domain modelling, microflows, nanoflows, security, integrations.
• Consultancy skills to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Experience leading teams in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments.
• An AI mindset and interest in Mendix Maia and AI-enabled processes.
• Excellent Dutch language skills are required.

What you'll be working on as a Mendix Consultant

Low-Code is evolving rapidly. Organizations no longer use Mendix simply to build applications faster. They increasingly rely on Low-Code to modernize business-critical processes, integrate complex enterprise landscapes, accelerate digital transformation, and unlock the value of AI.

As a Mendix Consultant within our Low-Code cluster, you help organizations translate business challenges into innovative and scalable solutions. You combine deep technical expertise, consultancy capabilities and a strong understanding of business needs to shape, design and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

You will work on enterprise-scale solutions in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with specialists in architecture, integration, cloud, AI, security, and data. This enables you to grow beyond Mendix and gain experience in solving complex business challenges for large organizations.

In this role you will be working on:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing Mendix applications that create value for clients, from solutions supporting smaller processes to larger business-critical applications.


• Partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, architects and leadership teams to shape digital transformation initiatives.


• Advising clients on their Low-Code strategy, roadmap and governance.


• Designing enterprise-grade solutions that integrate with complex landscapes involving SAP, Azure, APIs, data platforms and legacy systems.


• Taking ownership of solution design and delivery outcomes across the full application lifecycle.Identifying opportunities to apply AI-enabled solutions and helping clients translate emerging technologies into measurable business value.


• Leading teams, guiding stakeholders, and driving successful delivery within Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments.


• Coaching and mentoring consultants and developers, helping them grow both technically and professionally.


• Contributing to Capgemini's Low-Code community through knowledge sharing, accelerators, innovation initiatives, hackathons and client propositions.

Your profile

You have:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with Mendix development.


• A technical foundation through an IT-related degree or experience in software engineering, low-code, and traditional software development environments.


• Broad experience with Mendix platform development: domain modelling, microflows, nanoflows, security implementation, integrations, data management, and performance optimization.


• Consultancy skills and the ability to understand complex business challenges before defining technical solutions.


• Experience leading teams, guiding stakeholders, and driving successful delivery within Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments.


• An AI mindset and a genuine interest in the convergence of AI and Low-Code. You understand how technologies such as Mendix Maia, AI-enabled business processes, and AI agents can strengthen the solutions delivered to clients.


• Excellent Dutch language skills are required, as the majority of our clients operate in Dutch-speaking environments.

Preferred Certifications

• Mendix Advanced certification (Expert preferred).

Additional Relevant Experience

• Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or Defence industry experience.


• Siemens technology stack, such as Teamcenter, Opcenter, and PLM solutions.


• Cloud, infrastructure, and platform engineering, including Private Mendix Platform and sovereign cloud environments.
