Job summary

Lutech Resources is seeking a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer for a contract role in the oil & gas sector. You will design and engineer solutions ensuring safety, reliability, and sustainability across project scope.

The position requires a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, 5–10 years of Oil & Gas experience, and strong leadership and English communication skills. You will coordinate with vendors and lead engineers on assigned work packages.

Responsibilities

• Select methods and optimize design per specs within codes, standards and regulations.
• Plan and complete activities within time and budget and ensure interfaces.
• Ensure Scope of Work delivered per contractual and SBM requirements.
• Apply lessons learned and manage change across project boundaries.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties as required.
• May serve as Package Engineer for design, procurement and manufacture.
• Lead engineers on assigned scope; may act as Discipline Lead.

Job Overview:

The Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer'spurpose is to design and engineer solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability, thereby contributing to the projects and organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
• You are responsible for proactively planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
• You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
• You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
• You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
• You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package.
• You start leading engineers on assigned scope of work
• You may act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering / Degree of relevant studies
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry
• Experience in Engineering design and calculation tools, Mechanical Static Equipment, Systems Engineering, Inspection, testing, commissioning and monitoring, Package engineering and manufacturing & Reliability, operability and safety
• Must have good communication skills
• Proficiency in interacting with multidisciplinary profiles
• Good with problem solving
• Fluency in English is a must
• Must have Leadership qualities
