Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Senior Engineer in Rotterdam to design and engineer high-safety, reliable, and sustainable solutions for offshore projects. You will select methods, plan deliverables, and ensure interfaces across complex packages within EPC frameworks.

The role requires 5–10 years in Oil & Gas, European experience, and a background in process packages. It is a long-term, full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in Rotterdam, 2 days remote).

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Oil & Gas industry with European work experience.
• Experience with EPC projects and offshore environments.
• Experience in process packages; not a lead position; immediate start preferred for NL-based candidates.

Responsibilities

• Select methods and procedures; perform work and optimize design per specs and standards.
• Plan and deliver activities within time and budget while ensuring system interfaces.
• Ensure Scope of Work complies with contractual and internal requirements.
• Capture and apply lessons learned; manage changes across project boundaries.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties per contract and internal rules.
• May be assigned as Package Engineer with design, procurement and manufacture responsibility.
• Lead engineers on assigned scope of work.
• May act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.

Job description

• The Senior Engineer's purpose is to design and engineer solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability, thereby contributing to the projects and organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
• You are responsible for proactively planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
• You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and Company’s internal requirements.
• You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
• You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and Company’s internal requirements.
• You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package.
• You start leading engineers on assigned scope of work
• You may act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.

Education

Experience

• 5 to 10 years in Oil & Gas Industry
