Job summary

Amgen Breda is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to ensure safe, compliant operation of mechanical utility systems across manufacturing, warehousing and offices. You will act as System Owner for designated assets, interfacing with regulators, vendors and internal teams throughout the life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical utility systems (HVAC, boilers, chilled water, piping, pumps).
• Experience in industrial environments; GMP exposure is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English with good stakeholder communication.
• Experience with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership and engineering expertise for mechanical utility systems and infrastructure.
• Support mechanical design reviews, equipment selection, and standards.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Support capital projects, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Review technical documentation, maintenance strategies, and change controls.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Reliability and external partners to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement for reliability, energy efficiency and operational excellence.
