Job summary

Amgen Breda is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to ensure reliable, safe operation of mechanical utility systems across manufacturing, warehousing and office facilities.

You will provide technical ownership and lead lifecycle activities from design to deployment, collaborating with maintenance, operations and external partners to improve system performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Experience with mechanical utility systems (HVAC, chilled water, boilers, etc.).
• Experience in industrial mechanical/ utilities engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with CMMS and engineering documentation.
• GMP-regulated environment experience is a plus.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the mechanical utility systems that support our manufacturing, warehousing, and office facilities.

The System Owner is the accountable individual for the optimal performance, compliance, and continuity of a designated utility system or asset at the ABR site.

The System Owner serves as the single point of contact for the system across its full life cycle. From design through retirement and interface with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Capital Projects, and external partners, you'll provide technical leadership for mechanical systems throughout their lifecycle while supporting site expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will:

What We Expect From You

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Experience with mechanical utility systems such as HVAC, chilled water, boilers, compressed air, refrigeration, piping systems, pumps, and pressure equipment.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, or utilities engineering within an industrial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is considered an advantage.
