Job summary

Lam Research in Enschede, Netherlands, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and validate cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. You will conduct feasibility studies, guide detailed design, and support fabrication to shape our packaging solutions.

You will perform detailed analyses (structural, thermal, FEA), lead CAD modeling across multiple tools, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and quality in a fast-paced semiconductor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 8+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CREO, NX, ProE, SolidWorks) and strong design background.
• Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support full life cycle of mechanical/electro-mechanical systems from concept to productization.
• Design components using metals, ceramics, plastics and coatings.
• Ensure GD&T and documentation align with SEMI and Lam standards.
• Perform structural, thermal, and manufacturability analyses; develop validation plans.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating design intent and results.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Provide deliverables including FMEA, specs, risk analyses, and design reviews.
