Job summary

VIDA bioenergy, Breda, the Netherlands, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the VIDA Project Management & Engineering team. You will design, optimize and support bioenergy processes across anaerobic digestion, gasification, pyrolysis and fermentation, collaborating with diverse international project teams.

The role requires a strong technical background, leadership and the ability to travel within Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering for green and brown field projects or maintenance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work with diverse teams across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities for static and rotating equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical activities within multidisciplinary teams (process, E&I, civil, automation).
• Develop high-level plots and technical specifications for projects.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance on site.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify optimization opportunities and support life-cycle cost reductions.
