Job summary

VIDA Projects & Engineering in Tilburg, Netherlands, seeks a Sr. Automation Engineer to shape and deliver automation, SCADA/PLC design, and cybersecurity across multi-site bio-energy assets.

You will interact with engineering contractors, system integrators, OEMs, and VTTI Group OT experts to ensure robust control solutions throughout the lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional teams through concept to commissioning, focusing on safety, reliability, and high plant performance while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5–10+ years experience in industrial automation, preferably bio-energy, utilities, chemicals, or waste-to-energy.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems and SCADA/HMI environments.
• Lead troubleshooting to improve plant stability and reduce downtime.
• Develop and maintain Process Control Strategy (PCS) and control narratives.
