Job summary

VIDA bioenergy Breda, the Netherlands, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to lead the design and implementation of LV/MV systems, grid integration, and safety standards across bioenergy projects and assets.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure alignment with process control philosophy, and drive technical excellence while travelling across Europe and reporting to the VP Projects & Engineering.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in E&I engineering.
• Proven lead/senior engineering experience managing scope and teams.
• Strong expertise in electrical power systems, grid integration, and energy generation.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch/EU standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of LV/MV systems, including distribution, protection, and grounding.
• Oversee development of single line diagrams, load studies, and short-circuit calculations.
• Own grid connection strategies and interface with grid operators.
• Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams for E&I.
• Mentor E&I engineers and ensure project governance and quality.
