Job summary

Stoneridge in the Netherlands seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate camera systems, monitors and display modules for automotive environments.

You will apply mechanical engineering fundamentals, drive hardware development for mass production, and optimize thermal/mechanical performance. With 7+ years in automotive mechanical design, you will run CAD models (Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA or Inventor), perform tolerance analyses, DFMEA and design reviews, and collaborate with electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of automotive mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools and materials, thermal management, sealing and mounting systems.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 26262 automotive validation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the mechanical design and industrialization of automotive camera and display systems (rear-view, side-view, surround view, instrument cluster displays).
• Collaborate with electrical, software and optical teams to ensure seamless integration of imaging hardware.
• Develop and validate CAD models, perform tolerance analyses, DFMEA and design reviews for reliability and manufacturability.
• Address thermal dissipation, vibration, sealing (IP rating) and alignment challenges; support environmental and durability testing.
