Job summary

Connect AI in Delft is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own challenging hardware development in collaboration with RF, electronics and systems engineers. You will take concepts from idea to prototype and production, shaping mechanical architecture and ensuring robust thermal and mechanical performance.

You will drive enclosure design, precision assemblies and manufacturing readiness, with hands-on prototyping, testing and design verification as core activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical product-development experience.
• Background in complex electronic or mechatronic hardware.
• Strong 3D CAD experience — SolidWorks, Inventor, NX, Creo or similar.
• Experience designing enclosures, precision mechanical assemblies or electronic packaging.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, GD&T, tolerances and DFM/DFA.
• Hands-on experience with prototypes, testing and validation.
• Experience with thermal simulation / CFD / FEA and quantum hardware would be valuable.
