Job summary

Qblox is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical development for advanced quantum hardware. You will design complex assemblies, heatsinks, and RF shields, performing thermal/structural analyses and EMI shielding strategies to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will collaborate with electronic, RF, and system teams while mentoring junior engineers. You will also drive design verification, prototyping, and validation across the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development with complex electronic products and PCB assemblies.
Experience in system-level design and detailed mechanical engineering for enclosures, heatsinks, RF shields.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical development and optimize mechanical solutions for electronic products and PCB assemblies.
Design mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, heatsinks, and RF shields with manufacturability and cost in mind.
Perform mechanical, thermal, and structural analyses including FEA/CFD and EMI shielding considerations.
Verify, prototype, test, and validate mechanical designs throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with electronic systems.
Generate and maintain technical documentation: specs, 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental requirements.
Mentor junior engineers and promote DFM and DFA practices.
