Job summary

Delft Networks is a young, full-stack quantum networking company on a mission to connect the world in the quantum age. We are seeking a software engineer to join a team building next-generation quantum networking systems and to design and implement software stack components for quantum networks.

The role involves systems-level software engineering, collaboration with experimentalists to validate software, on-site work in Delft, and contributing to a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment that

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for tooling, testing and integration scripting.
• Experience in C/C++ for embedded systems (bare-metal or RTOS).
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining firmware for microcontrollers, SoCs, and/or FPGAs.
• Strong understanding of system-level integration from electronics to firmware to application software.
• Ability to maintain a system-level perspective while executing priorities.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, prototype-driven environment.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools for tooling, testing, and firmware/systems work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of software stack components for quantum networks.
• Perform general systems-level software engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with experimentalists to validate software functionality in integrated setups.
• Support team communication and promote a culture of open feedback.
