Job summary

McFly & Brown, a marine electrical engineering specialist, seeks a Lead Engineer to design electrical installations for vessels and lead engineering teams in the Netherlands and abroad. You will bridge the Project Manager with engineers and guide project execution from a hands-on engineering perspective.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or equivalent, 5+ years as a Lead Engineer in the marine sector, and proficiency with AutoCAD/SEE Electrical/EPLAN or willingness to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrable relevant experience as Lead Engineer.
• Preferably at least 5 years of experience as Lead Engineer within the marine sector.
• Experience designing electrical installations for vessels.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SEE Electrical or EPLAN, or a willingness to learn this software.
• Knowledge of BV, Lloyd’s and CCS regulations/classification rules.
• Combination of strong technical expertise with a commercial, customer-focused mindset and international team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing electrical installations for vessels according to client specifications and standards.
• Managing engineers in the Netherlands and abroad, and allocating and monitoring engineering activities.
• Preparing, coordinating and delivering the complete drawing package according to schedule.
• Preparing material specifications and technical project documentation.
• Supporting the Project Manager and acting as the technical link between project management and execution.
