Senior Manufacturing Engineer Product | Planning

Overview

As a key member of our Integrated Product Team (IPT), you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth production of landing gear components. You'll prepare and manage crucial product documentation, analyze production data to improve efficiency, and develop technical solutions for complex challenges—with a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

Improve production processes by analyzing product characteristics and through lean manufacturing initiatives.
Resolve non-conformities and aim to become an authorized approver.
Manage and prepare non-conformity documentation for both Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) issues.
Implement and manage tooling and production planning.
Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate future issues.
Support manufacturing development and integrate new technologies into production.
Create temporary production instructions to support operational deliveries.

Requirements

Degree in a related Engineering discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive.
10+ years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering (including traineeships) in Aerospace, Automotive (engines and turbo only), or any other metal machining industry with low-volume production and high-complexity manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of or experience with Non-Conform Product Process.
Experience in managing (new) Product/Process introductions (industrialization) and existing production process improvements; working knowledge of quality system models (ISO 9000, AS9100, or D1-9000).

Terms of employment

We offer a challenging position in an innovative and international environment with a rich history in aircraft manufacturing.

This role involves a secondment agreement at GKN Fokker Aerospace BV via Yacht for 1 year, with the possibility of extension and a permanent contract at the company after the first year.

We offer a competitive salary, between €4,800 and €6,200 per month, based on 40 hours per week.

Full-time (40 h per week preferred; 32–36 h per week negotiable).
