Job summary

Blyce is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to safeguard software quality across products used by governments and public organizations. You’ll own testing activities within your product team, coach junior testers, and help establish a structured testing process.

You’ll work with international teams in a multicultural environment, coordinating test efforts, monitoring quality, and advising stakeholders on risks and priorities.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience as a tester with a strong focus on manual testing.
• Experience creating test plans, executing structured test cycles, and writing test reports.
• Experience with test estimation, sprint planning, and stakeholder advice.
• Strong understanding of documented structured testing methods such as ISTQB or TMAP.
• ISTQB or TMAP certification and demonstrable equivalent experience applying these methodologies.
• Experience working in international or multicultural software development teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
• A precise, structured, and quality‑oriented way of working.

Responsibilities

• Perform documented and structured manual testing to assess product quality and identify risks.
• Plan, coordinate, and support testing activities throughout the full test lifecycle.
• Analyze requirements and design and review test cases, execute tests, and translate findings into test plans and estimates.
• Contribute to sprint and release planning, raising quality concerns and testing priorities.
• Monitor test progress, quality metrics, and test coverage; communicate results and risks to teams and stakeholders.
• Provide well‑founded advice on quality‑related decisions and address risks and improvements.
• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to improving testing processes and standards.
• Collaborate with international teams, share knowledge, and coach junior testers.
• Act as a subject matter expert in functional testing and ensure quality standards.
