Job summary

Stora Enso is seeking a Legal Entity Controller to join our Record to Report team in the Netherlands. This senior role ensures financial integrity, local regulatory reporting, and tax compliance for designated legal entities in line with IFRS and group policies.

You will own statutory statements, coordinate audits, monitor regulatory changes, and collaborate with Finance Operations, Treasury and Tax to drive efficiency and governance across the entity finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, professional certification is a strong advantage.
• At least 4 years of relevant accounting, auditing or financial controllership experience.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS standards relevant for legal entity reporting.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, indirect and direct tax processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in multinational environment with analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight regulatory deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Change management mindset—drive process improvements and standardization.
• Experience with SAP ERP and tax reporting tools.
• Fluency in local language and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure legal entity reporting complies with local laws, tax requirements, and group policies.
• Own statutory financial statements, tax declarations, and regulatory filings.
• Manage local tax matters including compliance, reporting, filings, and audits.
• Monitor local legislative changes and implement updates.
• Collaborate with Finance Ops, Treasury, Tax, BA/BU and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external auditors and address audit findings.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and OneStream entity-level actuals.
• Contribute to internal controls and governance for entity financial statements.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Perform locally required tasks and reports.
