Job summary

Noordzee Résidence Cadzand-Bad is seeking a Senior Kitchen Supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations by the coast. You will supervise, plan, and ensure quality, HACCP, and guest satisfaction through hands-on cooking and clear leadership.

With several years in professional kitchens, you coach the team, manage service during busy periods, and maintain high standards for food quality and presentation. English communication is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Experience in supervisory or senior kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food quality and HACCP.
• Structured and independent working style.
• Ability to coach and motivate colleagues.
• Good English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the kitchen team during daily operations and busy services.
• Plan and organize kitchen activities and adjust priorities.
• Prepare and finish dishes while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
• Coach and develop kitchen colleagues and onboard new team members.
• Monitor HACCP, hygiene, food safety and kitchen standards.
• Check deliveries, stock levels and quality of incoming products.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and teamwork.
• Serve as senior point of contact during your shift.

Our guests come here to relax, enjoy their holiday and spend time together. As Senior Kitchen Supervisor, you play an important role in creating that experience through great food and a well-organised kitchen. You are an experienced kitchen professional who enjoys taking the lead. You know what a good service requires, keep an overview when things get busy and make sure the team can perform at its best. You combine hands-on kitchen work with a higher level of responsibility and help ensure that quality, organisation and guest satisfaction are always on point.

What will you do:

As Senior Kitchen Supervisor, you take a leading role in the daily operation of the kitchen. You work closely with the team, make sure the preparation and service run smoothly and step in where your experience is needed most. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating the kitchen team during daily operations and busy services
• Planning and organising kitchen activities and adjusting priorities when needed
• Preparing and finishing dishes while maintaining consistent quality and presentation
• Coaching and developing kitchen colleagues and helping new team members get up to speed
• Monitoring HACCP, hygiene, food safety and kitchen standards
• Checking deliveries, stock levels and the quality of incoming products
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and teamwork
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen operation during your shift and acting as the senior point of contact for the team

This is you:

You have several years of experience in a professional kitchen and are ready to take the next step in your career. You are confident in making decisions, comfortable taking responsibility and able to coach colleagues on the job. You lead by example and know how to keep both quality and teamwork on track.

You bring:

• Several years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a supervisory or senior kitchen role
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food quality and HACCP
• A structured and independent way of working
• Leadership skills and the ability to coach and motivate colleagues
• A professional and hands-on attitude
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
