Job summary

That Recruitment Company partners with a small, highly technical software consultancy in the Netherlands seeking experienced Java/Kotlin engineers who enjoy hands-on work and learning. You’ll work with the JVM ecosystem, Spring/Quarkus, microservices and event-driven architectures, open to AI-assisted development, and be based near Amsterdam or Utrecht.

They offer a €3,000 yearly learning budget, conference involvement, coaching and public speaking support, profit-sharing, 26 holidays, a laptop

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Java or Kotlin experience.
• Strong knowledge of the JVM ecosystem.
• Experience with Spring, Quarkus or similar frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, databases and event-driven architectures.
• An open mindset towards AI-assisted software development.
• Someone who enjoys learning, experimenting and sharing knowledge.
• Based near Amsterdam or Utrecht.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on software development in Java/Kotlin within a small, technical team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design, implement and ship features.
• Share knowledge through coaching, code reviews and tech talks.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development initiatives and experimentation.

They’re looking for experienced Java/Kotlin engineers who still enjoy being hands-on, learning new things and sharing knowledge with others.

What they’re looking for:

• 6+ years of Java or Kotlin experience
• Strong knowledge of the JVM ecosystem
• Experience with Spring, Quarkus or similar frameworks

Experience with Kafka, Redis, Angular, React or Vue is a bonus.
