Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a senior Java engineer to design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications. You will work with Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, Angular and TypeScript, and integrate with REST and asynchronous APIs in a cloud-native environment.

You will shape architecture with Docker/Kubernetes, apply DDD, SOLID and Clean Architecture, and collaborate in an agile, international setting while leveraging AI-powered coding assistants for efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional software development with distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Strong expert knowledge in Java with Spring Boot or Quarkus, API design and data modelling.
• Production-ready with Angular and TypeScript; essential backend expertise.
• Experience with cloud architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, observability and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with AI-assisted coding tools and cross-language capabilities (Node.js, Python, Golang) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable full-stack apps using Java, Spring Boot/Quarkus, Angular and TypeScript.
• Develop front-end with Angular/TypeScript and integrate with REST/async APIs.
• Shape cloud-native solutions with Docker/Kubernetes and observability via OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Apply DDD, SOLID and Clean Architecture to deliver maintainable software.
• Collaborate in an agile, international environment with knowledge sharing and pair programming.
