Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Java Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable digital solutions for clients across industries. You will work across Java backend with Spring Boot or Quarkus and front-end with Angular/TypeScript, delivering secure, reliable software in a cloud-native, instrumented environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong track record in distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Deep Java expertise with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Proven experience building production-ready enterprise apps with Angular/TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tooling and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, Angular and TypeScript.
• Develop production-ready front-end applications with Angular and TypeScript, integrated with RESTful services.
• Shape cloud-native and event-driven solutions using Docker and Kubernetes; enhance production reliability with observability tools.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design, SOLID principles and Clean Architecture to deliver maintainable software.
• Collaborate in an agile, international environment with architecture discussions and knowledge sharing.
