Job summary

Picnic Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) for its Warehouse Systems to own backend development for scalable warehouse solutions. You will design, build, test, and maintain features powering inbound items, totes movement, and delivery integrations, ensuring security and scalability.

You have 5+ years of Java experience, a master’s degree or equivalent, and strong English skills. Relocation to the Netherlands is supported, with hybrid flexibility and an office in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java backend experience.
• Master’s degree in CS/AI/IT/CE or related field.
• Proficient English; Dutch not required.
• Experience with AI tooling and agentic engineering.
• Based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate to the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive projects from concept to delivery, aligning technical solutions with business goals.
• Develop, test, and scale features for the Warehouse Systems platform.
• Collaborate with cross-team initiatives to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
