Job summary

Picnic Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to join our Warehouse Systems domain in Amsterdam. You will own backend features, collaborate across teams, and improve scalability and security of our warehouse platform powering inbound items, totes, and delivery workflows.

You should have 5+ years of Java experience, a Master’s degree or equivalent, and excellent English. Relocation to the Netherlands and hybrid work from our Amsterdam office are supported, with AI tooling

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/AI/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of professional Java back-end experience.
• Strong English communication; Dutch not required.
• Experience with AI tooling and agentic engineering is a plus.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands, Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver backend features in a Java-based stack.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams on complex systems.
