Job summary

Adyen in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Java Application Core Components (JACC) to build and maintain core Java tools and frameworks used across all Java applications. You will shape how teams design, structure, and deploy their services in a company-wide platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong skills in core Java and API design.
• Track record of building high-quality software with thorough testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the internal and open source Java frameworks and components used by every Java application team at Adyen.
• Play an active role in one or more of the team's 3 large-scale migrations that are reshaping Adyen's application architecture.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to other teams on how frameworks and libraries solve business problems.
• Design and evolve workflows used by other teams, identifying pain points and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Kubernetes, deployment, and security teams to ensure integration across the tech stack.
• Advocate for best practices, define boundaries for framework usage, and run workshops.
