PaymentIQ in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, is seeking a mid-to-senior Java Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will design, implement, and maintain features for PaymentIQ, a SaaS payment orchestration platform used by hundreds of merchants and 300+ PSPs.

Qualifications

• Around 3–4 years of active development experience.
• Solid grasp of Java fundamentals and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Genuine curiosity about the product and mindset to make an impact beyond writing code.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain features in the PaymentIQ platform with a focus on clean, well-tested code.
• Take features from design through production, including monitoring and iterative improvement.
• Contribute to code reviews and raise engineering quality across the team.
• Investigate production issues and prevent recurrence through tests and documentation.
• Collaborate with product, integrations, and delivery teams to translate merchant needs into solid technical solutions.
