Overview

Senior Java Backend Engineer at CodeGuild in Utrecht. Build a high-traffic platform that will set the standard for the next decade using Java21, Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, Docker and AWS. Salary up to €90.000.

Responsibilities

• Join an agile development team with a DevOps mentality to scale, develop and optimize a new platform built from scratch, with no legacy.
• Work on scalable microservices and event-driven systems processing huge volumes of events.
• Contribute to domain modelling, API design and data consistency within distributed systems.
• Help define standards, ensure clean code and test automation are the norm, and uplift colleagues with your experience.
• Collaborate on AI integration: use AI tools to generate unit tests, detect edge cases, speed up code reviews or prototype features; help integrate AI into the platform (e.g., anomaly detection, optimizing data flows, smart automation).
• Expand your circle of influence and grow toward leadership (potential Tech Lead over time).
