Job summary

Backbase is seeking a Senior IT GRC Manager to lead governance, risk and compliance across AI initiatives and SaaS products. You will embed regulatory requirements into product design, collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales, and shape an AI-native compliance function with AI-enabled controls and workflows.

You will head a two-person compliance team, drive strategic programs, and report to the VP Legal & Compliance, balancing regulatory rigor with innovative product delivery in a FinTech

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on compliance implementation in international environments.
• Fluent English written and spoken (mandatory).
• Strong experience with IT security, governance, risk management and compliance roles.

Responsibilities

• Embed Compliance into product development and sales, translating regulatory requirements into pragmatic guardrails.
• Lead AI-native compliance initiatives, redesign workflows, and introduce AI-supported controls.
• Manage a small team and report to VP Legal & Compliance.
• Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to balance regulatory rigor with innovation.
