Job summary

Backbase is seeking an experienced Security Director for Services to lead the security program across global operations. You will establish security practices, educate teams and customers, and report risk status to senior leadership.

The role requires coordinating with the CISO and driving security governance within the Services chapter. Located in Amsterdam, the role emphasizes strategic planning, capacity management, and collaboration with engineering and project teams to embed security

Qualifications

• 10+ years of information security experience.
• 5+ years in global leadership roles.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to executives and board.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy for the Services department.
• Oversee global security policy application across hubs.
• Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as primary security liaison with the CISO and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations, frameworks, and customer obligations.
• Prepare security reports for senior management and executives.
