Job summary

Backbase is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager IT GRC & AI Governance to lead our AI governance, risk and compliance program. You will embed regulatory requirements into product guardrails while partnering with Product, Engineering and Sales to balance compliance with innovation in a fast-moving fintech environment.

You will shape an AI-native compliance function, drive AI/automation in controls and monitoring, and lead a small team of two compliance managers reporting to the VP Legal &

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years implementing international compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of AI governance frameworks.
• Experience in enterprise sales support and client-facing discussions.
• Bachelor's degree; IT security, risk or cyber security preferred.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead IT GRC program and AI governance strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales to embed compliance in roadmaps.
• Embed compliance into product development and customer-facing positions.
• Manage a small team of two compliance managers reporting to VP Legal & Compliance.
