Job summary

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) in Haarlem, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our IT team as a broad IT generalist responsible for infrastructure and operations across GLI locations.

You will own provisioning, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of systems, networks, and services with focus on reliability, security, and performance, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Windows Server (AD/DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP), backup/DR, VMware.
• Knowledge of network topology and remote access.
• Strong communication across technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage infrastructure, systems, and applications for reliability, performance, and security.
• Administer and optimise Cisco networking environments.
• Manage VMware virtualization platforms, including performance tuning.
• Maintain core services (Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, enterprise email).
• Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues.
• Support and operate backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Apply updates and configuration changes per security standards.
• Lead incident/problem management with root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
• Provide escalation support across multiple domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective tech solutions.
• Support global operations, including inter-site connectivity and remote troubleshooting.
