Job summary
Damen Naval, the naval division of the Damen Shipyards Group, seeks an experienced (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior (interim) specializing in joinery of accommodation and technical spaces. You will translate design concepts into precise technical specifications, oversee subcontracting, and assure compliance with quality standards on naval vessels.
You will collaborate with procurement, production, and other engineering teams while staying current with industry practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, civil architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience as technical specification engineer or similar role focusing on joinery in maritime industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software for technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong English communication skills; German a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
- Create detailed technical specifications for joinery works adhering to industry standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to select materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.
- Support quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure standards.
- Provide technical support to production and document changes and progress.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for seamless integration of joinery with ship systems.
