Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting in the Netherlands to drive IFRS research, contract assessments, and key reporting activities. You will participate in month-end close, consolidation, and audits while collaborating with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to research, interpret, and apply standards.
• Experience assessing contracts and business arrangements for accounting implications (revenue, leases).
• Strong technical writing skills for memos, position papers, or audit support docs.
• Hands-on month-end close processes, trial balance analysis, and consolidation entries.
• Attention to detail with sound judgment for complex accounting matters.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across Finance and non-Finance functions.
• Experience with external auditors is valuable; public accounting/audit is preferred but not required.
• Multinational group reporting environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and business arrangements for accounting implications under IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Research IFRS guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and position papers.
• Support month-end close through trial balance reviews and account analysis.
• Prepare and review consolidation entries including intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end and group audits.
• Prepare audit support materials and respond to auditor questions.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A and business teams.
• Support technical accounting and broader finance projects as required.
• Maintain and update accounting policies per new standards.
• Develop training materials to help stakeholders understand accounting requirements.
• Contribute to consistent, well-documented accounting practices.
