Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Commissioning/Startup Lead to oversee ICSS and PLC system configuration, testing, and validation, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. You will collaborate with design engineers and vendors to implement changes during commissioning and startup, delivering a timely turnover to the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in commissioning and startup experience.
• Knowledge of ICSS, PLC systems and power plants.
• Familiar with CSU procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Advises and ensures BV’s safety standards are followed, including permits and documents.
• Assists in the development of CSU procedures as directed.
• Tracks and closes all CSU documentation and punch items.
• Guides loop test, function test, and site acceptance testing.
• Coordinates with equipment suppliers and contractors for ICSS/PLC installation and commissioning.
• Identifies and resolves technical issues with ICSS and PLC systems with cross-functional teams.
• Ensures compliance with ICSS standards in FLNG projects during commissioning.
• Provides progress reports to CSU manager highlighting milestones and challenges.
• Assists in advanced planning and preparation for startup activities and milestones.
• Participates in programs for control of spares and consumables.
• Advises startup efforts to ensure compliant turnover to client.
• Records as-built engineering changes on drawings.
