Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Civil Technical Site Advisor to serve as the technical authority for civil construction on HVDC projects. You will work closely with site management, engineering, quality, HSE, and customer representatives to guide execution on site.

You will review drawings, support inspections and handovers, and contribute to continuous improvement across projects while ensuring safe, compliant execution and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in civil construction site activities.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and site documents.
• Strong understanding of quality, safety, and construction best practices.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for civil construction activities throughout project execution.
• Monitor progress, quality, documentation, and compliance on site.
• Advise on interfaces with installation, commissioning, logistics, and engineering teams.
• Promote safe working practices and support HSE requirements and risk mitigation.
• Review drawings and site changes to ensure alignment with approved requirements.
• Participate in inspections, quality walks, handovers, and non-conformance management.
• Support project planning with input on schedules, sequencing, risks, and mitigations.
• Capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across HVDC projects.
