Job summary

FairPlay Engineering invites an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to shape HV/MV infrastructure for mission critical facilities and large-scale data centers in the Netherlands. You will design power delivery concepts, define grid connection strategies, and ensure resilience through robust redundancy architectures.

Join a multidisciplinary team and lead technical delivery across concept, basic, and detailed engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with HV and MV electrical systems including substations, transformers, switchgear.
Experience with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, or grid operators.
Knowledge of redundancy concepts including N, N plus 1, 2N, and dual power path.
Experience with grid connection studies and related requirements.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects across phases.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent English.

Responsibilities

Develop HV/MV electrical concepts for data centers and critical facilities.
Support grid connection strategies with utilities and TSOs/DSOs.
Define electrical distribution architectures ensuring reliability and redundancy.
Review substation interfaces, transformer configurations, switchgear, and distribution systems.
Advise on redundancy and resilience architectures (N, N+1, 2N, dual paths).
Perform power system studies and load assessments across project phases.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Review designs for reliability and maintainability.
Help develop scalable infrastructure to meet rising power demands.
