Job summary

S.A.S Transition seeks an experienced Senior Authorised Person to lead HV switching operations across Europe’s critical power infrastructure. You will oversee switching from 33kV and above, manage permits-to-work, and ensure safe execution while mentoring site engineers on a range of challenging projects.

Qualifications

• HV authorisations at 33kV or higher.
• Hands-on HV switching, isolation and energisation experience.
• Proficient in Permit-to-Work, LOTO/COHE and safe systems of work.
• Background in data centres, power infrastructure, substations, utilities or renewables.
• Able to interpret single-line diagrams, technical drawings and OEM docs.
• Able to work independently and make sound operational decisions in high-consequence environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HV switching operations, isolations and energisation from 33kV upwards.
• Prepare and review switching schedules.
• Issue and manage permits-to-work.
• Supervise LOTO/COHE procedures on site.
• Conduct risk assessments and lead safety briefings.
• Coordinate with commissioning, project and operations teams.
• Support integrated systems testing and final handover activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on site.
• Maintain accurate operational and safety records.
• Drive a strong safety culture across all project activities.
