We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer who wants to take full technical ownership of product architecture—from concept to high-volume production—and build reliable hardware used by over 1,000,000 homes across Europe.

What You’ll Do
As Senior Hardware Engineer, you hold end-to-end responsibility for the hardware core of our smart energy product lines. You won't just follow specs—you will define architectures, make critical design choices, and set engineering quality standards across the team.
- Architecture & PCB Design: Define hardware architecture for new IoT devices. Design schematics and multi-layer PCBs, select components, and strike the right balance between performance, unit cost, and supply chain availability.
- Embedded & RF Optimization: Develop hardware around modern embedded microcontrollers (e.g., Espressif/ESP32). Optimize the interplay between RF performance, antenna choice, power management, and firmware.
- Concept to Mass Production: Drive products through NPI to full-scale manufacturing. Work closely with contract manufacturers (CMs/ODMs) on DFM/DFT, yield optimization, test fixture development, and quality assurance.
- Process & Quality Standards: Professionalize the hardware development lifecycle—establishing clear version control, documentation standards, test/validation plans, and smooth integration with firmware lifecycles.
- Compliance & Certification: Lead regulatory compliance (CE, Radio Equipment Directive / RED) and act as the primary technical interface for test labs.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and coach team members, review technical designs, and raise the bar for hardware engineering across the company.
What You Bring
You take pride and ownership in your designs. You naturally think ahead: How will this scale in production? How does this interact with firmware? Will this design hold up in 5 years?
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands‑on hardware development experience, ideally in consumer electronics or high-volume IoT devices.
- Embedded Hardware Expertise: Proven expertise with embedded CPUs/SoCs and working closely with firmware lifecycle teams.
- RF & Compliance Knowledge: Practical experience resolving EMI/EMC challenges and navigating CE / RED compliance.
- Lifecycle Ownership: Experience taking products from initial whiteboard design through DFM/DFT to mass manufacturing with external ODMs/CMs.
- Mindset: Pragmatic, detail-oriented, with strong technical conviction and the communication skills to mentor others.
