Job summary

Sensys Gatso Group in Haarlem seeks an experienced hardware development expert to contribute to roadside traffic systems. You will work with embedded software engineers and a multi-disciplinary team, delivering high-quality hardware on schedule.

Applicants should hold a Bachelors or Masters in computer science, mechatronics, or a related field, and be proficient in English. The role operates in an agile environment with emphasis on continuous improvement and team empowerment.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design and PCB layout techniques.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of executing pre-compliance testing (EMC, electrical safety).
• Experience with hardware-related programming languages is a plus.
• Strong command of English.
• Familiar with SCRUM and Agile development processes.
• Motivated to deliver high-quality results on time and to lift the team.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mechatronics or similar.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the electrical design of roadside traffic systems.
• Design and layout PCBs and related hardware interfaces.
• Support pre-compliance testing and coordination with external labs if needed.
• Collaborate with embedded software and mechanical teams in an Agile setup.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ways of working.

You will be a key person for the development of our roadside traffic systems, and in that sense contribute to a better world in a very direct manner. You will join a team of highly skilled and motivated engineers, including electrical and mechanical expertise. Our team also consists of (embedded) software engineers with an international composition who are driven to serve our customers in the best way possible.

Description

• You have proven experience with electrical design and knowledge of Circuit Board layout and design techniques.
• Experience with AltiumDesigner is a pre.
• You have knowledge on executing pre-compliance testing in house or compliance testing at external institutes (i.e. EMC, electrical safety, etc)
• Experience with any programming language related to hardware is a pre
• A good use of English is a must.
• The team works according to the SCRUM method and you contribute to all the different aspects of this, including contributing to improving the way of working.
• Sensys Gatso is advocating for an Agile approach on all aspects, including self organizing teams, always improving and open feedback.
• You are motivated to deliver high quality results on time and are able to motivate others as well
