Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Senior Software Engineer based in the Netherlands to help shape a graph-powered analytics platform. You’ll build secure backend services, APIs, and workflows enabling advanced graph analytics with strong architecture and scalability.

You’ll work with Java, Spring, DDD, TDD, CI/CD, and cloud-native techniques in a remote-friendly, Europe-wide environment, taking ownership from design to deployment and influencing product direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience in large-scale systems.
• Strong Java expertise and knowledge of modern software design (Clean Architecture, DDD, TDD).
• Experience with Spring and building secure, modular APIs.
• Familiarity with relational and graph data modeling (PostgreSQL, Neo4j).
• Proficient in CI/CD, Docker, and production software delivery.
• Security-minded with OWASP-aware practices.
• Excellent written and spoken communication for remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend APIs for complex graph data and analytics.
• Design secure, scalable access-control systems for mission-critical environments.
• Develop and orchestrate workflows automating graph analytics and real-time insights.
• Optimize performance and reliability in collaboration with engineers.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions across the product.
• Deliver clean, well-tested software with modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams and take ownership from ideation to deployment.
• Help advance engineering practices, observability, and scalability.
