Nedap is seeking a Backend Developer (Go) to work on a scalable SaaS platform for managing access in large organisations. You’ll contribute to the core platform, including digital twin modelling of buildings and access passes, collaborating with engineering, product and design teams for customer-driven value.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7+ years of backend development experience in production.
• Experience with Go or a comparable backend language (e.g. C/C#, .NET, Java, PHP).
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and clear architectural principles (e.g. Clean Architecture).
• Experience with event-driven architecture (e.g. Kafka) is an advantage.
• Strong focus on maintainability and scalability of code.
• Good command of English and preferably Dutch.

What are you going to do?

Would you like to work as a Backend Developer (Go) on a scalable SaaS platform used worldwide to manage physical access to buildings? Do you enjoy working in an ambitious team that collaborates closely with clients?

As a Backend Developer (Go), you will work on our SaaS solution for managing access rights within large organisations. You will develop functionality that enables clients to manage complex structures: who has access where, when and under what conditions. You will work on a platform that runs in complex enterprise environments and scales with the size and dynamics of our clients.

Among other things, you’ll be working on our digital twin technology, in which buildings, spaces and access rights are digitally modelled. You’ll also help build the module for managing physical access passes. Together, these components form the core of the platform and help organisations gain control over dynamic and complex environments.

Together with colleagues from engineering, product and design, you will work on new functionalities, often in direct contact with customers. In this way, you ensure that what you build adds immediate value in practice.

Your responsibilities

• Developing scalable and reliable functionality in Go.
• Contributing to the technical direction and further development of the platform.
• Building for enterprise environments with up to 100,000 users per client.

You will be working within Pace, a promising initiative from Nedap where we are building a modern platform with a start-up mindset, backed by the scale and stability of an international technology company. We develop in close collaboration with clients, so you can see first-hand how your work is being put into practice.

You will be part of two closely collaborating engineering teams with plenty of scope for initiative and technical decision-making. We take responsibility together, help each other progress and continuously improve both the platform and the way we work.

The salary range for this role is between € 4.000 and € 6.000 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours) and depends on relevant knowledge and experience.

Required Skills

As a Backend Developer (Go) within our team, you will be working on a platform that is constantly evolving. That is why we are looking for someone who can work independently, is not afraid to make technical decisions, and enjoys contributing ideas on improvements to architecture, tooling and development processes. You have strong analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and are adept at coordinating technical solutions with colleagues, product teams and other stakeholders. You feel at home in an environment where you switch between developing new functionality and working with systems that are already in production.

We expect you to be able to attend our campus in Groenlo on a weekly basis when collaboration, team activities or your responsibilities require it, and to actively contribute to maintaining good relationships with your colleagues. You will also be part of the on-call rotation.
