Job summary

Planet is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Professional Services for Defense and Intelligence to guide strategy and deliver geospatial solutions at scale. You will lead a team of professionals, drive cross-functional initiatives, and ensure successful engagements across multiple projects worldwide.

This full-time hybrid role requires work from Berlin, Haarlem or London three days per week, with a focus on security-sensitive workloads and strategic client success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience and 4+ years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions in dynamic situations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence decisions at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution for one or more teams across multiple projects or workstreams.
• Oversee technical delivery and align Professional Services projects to global requirements.
• Write technical specifications, manage risks, and guide teams to on-time, on-budget outcomes.
• Foster career growth, motivate high performers, and recruit for long-term success.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to translate company goals into team plans.
• Attract and hire diverse talent and manage cross-border engagements in a hybrid model.
