Job summary

Levy Professionals is seeking a Senior Full Stack Payments Engineer to lead architecture and delivery of cloud-native payment platforms. You will design scalable microservices, implement full-stack features, and mentor a team within a regulated banking environment.

You'll work with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS), TypeScript/Node.js/React, and Java/Spring Boot, while adopting AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineer with payments domain experience.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js/React and Java/Spring Boot.

Senior Full Stack Payments Engineer (AWS | AI-Native Development)

The Challenge

This is a senior engineering role where you'll contribute across the full software lifecycle-from architecture and solution design through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You'll help shape technical direction, mentor fellow engineers, and build resilient cloud-native solutions within a highly regulated banking and payments environment.

The team embraces modern engineering practices, leveraging AWS, GitHub, and AI-assisted software development as part of everyday delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve highly available payment services and platforms.
• Architect scalable microservices for mission-critical payment processing.
• Deliver full-stack solutions across backend services and frontend applications.
• Drive technical decision-making and influence engineering standards.
• Build secure, resilient cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Embed AI-assisted development into engineering workflows to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Extensive senior-level software engineering experience building large-scale digital products or platforms.
• Strong experience within the payments domain, including:

• Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade microservices architectures.
