Job summary

Levy Professionals is recruiting a DevOps Platform Engineer (RHEL) for a major Dutch bank to own Linux platform operations for payment engines, APIs and microservices. You will automate with Ansible, Python and Azure DevOps/GitHub pipelines, and drive deployment, monitoring and disaster recovery in a high-productivity squad.

You'll focus on stability, security patching, observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL and ELK, plus proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or Linux Engineering role.
• Strong hands-on RHEL administration and Ansible automation experience.
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions/Pipelines.
• Monitoring/observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL, and ELK Stack.
• Comfortable automating deployments and operations with Python and Shell scripting.

DevOps Platform Engineer (RHEL) | Own the payments engine infrastructure | Major Dutch Bank

A major Dutch bank is expanding the DevOps engineering team behind its state-of-the-art payments and settlement platform. You'll take ownership of Linux (RHEL) platform operations for payment engines, APIs and microservices built on Java and Spring, automating relentlessly with Ansible, Python and Azure DevOps/GitHub pipelines. The team is pushing hard on observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL, ELK) and full lifecycle ownership from deployment through disaster recovery, with real scope to shape how a high-productivity DevOps squad works. There's flexibility to work from home, with an office in a garden setting when you want to come in.

About the role

This is a hands-on platform engineering role within an independent unit reporting directly into the bank's CTO domain, working in an Agile/Scrum squad alongside a Technical Product Owner. You'll take ownership of issues end to end, from root cause analysis through to sustainable fixes, and help drive continuous deployment across the payments platform.

You will:

• Manage configuration via Ansible and deploy through Azure DevOps/GitHub pipelines, automating repetitive operational tasks with Python and Shell scripting
• Own Linux (RHEL) platform operations: stability, performance, security patching, certificate and access lifecycle management
• Improve monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL and the ELK Stack, and support HA/DR testing
• Analyze logs, metrics and traces to proactively catch issues and performance bottlenecks before they become incidents

Who are you?

• 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or Linux Engineering role
