Job summary

ING Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Payments Tribe, focusing on the full lifecycle of debit and credit cards and migrating legacy platforms to a modern reusable solution across countries.

You'll be part of an autonomous, international team delivering backend-focused features with frontend involvement, mentoring colleagues and deploying to cloud environments (Azure/OpenShift).

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of software development experience with backend focus.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Maven and cloud/DevOps tools.
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong design and architectural skills with end-to-end delivery ownership.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve services within the Payments Tribe.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from design to production for card platforms.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Collaborate across frontend/backend to deliver scalable solutions.
