Job summary

Nationale Nederlanden (NN) in The Hague is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer ( Freelance) to help transform NN into a product-oriented tech company. The role is based in The Hague with a hybrid work setup, starting 1 October for six months with possible extension.

You will build new projects, own customer-facing services, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver scalable frontend solutions. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience with React Native, React, and TypeScript, plus strong

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building production-grade applications with React Native, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining shared libraries or SDKs, with a strong focus on API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Strong understanding of mobile authentication and security, including biometrics, PIN/OTP flows, secure storage, and identity verification.
• Experience working across JavaScript and native mobile platforms (iOS/Android), collaborating on React Native bridge integrations.
• Strong software engineering practices, including testing, code quality, CI/CD, and delivering reliable, maintainable solutions in Agile teams.
