Job summary

NN in The Hague is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Freelance) for a hybrid, 6-month to long-term engagement. You will develop and modernize backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and GraphQL, and you’ll own critical components used by customers.

You will collaborate in a multinational team, drive quality with secure SDLC practices, operate in Agile settings, and work with CDK, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with AWS, Node.js/TypeScript and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of Agile environments and secure SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Build new projects from scratch and modernize existing applications.
• Own services used directly by customers and embedded throughout NN.
