Job summary

Nationale Nederlanden (NN) in The Hague is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive digital change and support our move to a product-oriented tech company. The role is based in The Hague with a hybrid work model and a start date of October 1 for six months with a potential extension.

You will work with React Native, TypeScript, AWS and GraphQL, owning customer-facing services and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building production-grade apps with React Native, React and TypeScript.
• Designing and maintaining shared libraries or SDKs, with a strong focus on API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Strong mobile security knowledge including biometrics, PIN/OTP flows, secure storage, and identity verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end features using React Native, React and TypeScript.
• Build new projects and modernize existing applications.
• Own services used by customers and across the organization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and maintain scalable solutions.
