Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in Rotterdam is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Coordinator specializing in ocean and air freight to oversee procurement activities and ensure sustainable supplier management. You will lead tender processes and collaborate with regional teams to strengthen supply chain resilience.

You will manage supplier relationships, drive procurement strategies, ensure compliance, and promote digital tools in sourcing, contracting, and performance improvement across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and drive insights.
• Excellent written and spoken English communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender activities for ocean and air logistics across regular cycles.
• Manage a portfolio of key supplier relationships within assigned regions.
• Implement and align procurement strategies with global and regional goals.
• Drive procurement compliance and promote the use of digital tools in procurement processes.
• Oversee contracting, contract management, and resolve commercial issues with suppliers.
• Maintain a centralized database of procurement knowledge and documentation.
• Lead cross-regional procurement projects and initiatives as directed by management.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through benchmarking and operational improvements.
• Champion sustainability projects, including emissions reduction and alternative fuel initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve cost, cash, and carbon footprint.
• Support large-scale negotiations and assist procurement managers in business allocation decisions.
• Act as regional lead for responsible sourcing, performance improvement, and resilience strategies.
