Job summary

Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, is seeking an experienced FPGA Designer to lead the development of complex digital systems from concept to delivery in the Netherlands.

You will own FPGA firmware requirements, architecture, and verification across the full lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust designs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years with VHDL/Verilog, hands-on FPGA experience, and a background in safety-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with VHDL and/or Verilog for FPGA design.
• Experience in safety- or quality-critical environments is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Define and document FPGA firmware requirements and test specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Perform end-to-end FPGA design using HDLs, including system architecture, clock/reset management, I/O planning, and interface integration.
• Develop and execute test strategies, conduct simulations, and lead integration to validate functionality and performance.
• Produce detailed technical documentation, including design descriptions, review reports, test plans, and release records.
